Top Frequently Asked Questions
What is the HBS Case Method?
It’s hands-on, first-person learning at its best and the centerpiece of our curriculum. You’ll review a 10- to 20-page case document written by a professional at an organization. Then, everyone comes together to analyze and discuss the case from their perspectives: What worked? What didn’t? What would you do differently?
Professors often bring insider details from their own experience with the organizations in question, adding new layers for you and your peers to dissect and learn from.
What is the weekly time commitment for the program?
If you pursue the certificate full-time, you can expect a time commitment 11–25 hours per week. If you pursue the certificate part-time you can expect a time commitment of 10–14 hour per week.
Will I learn from the same Harvard faculty who teach on campus?
Yes. The program is led by world-renowned faculty from Harvard Business School (HBS), the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS).
